Small Wedding Reception Cake

This cake was done as a donation, and there's a sweet story to it.  A friend of mine from college works in promotions for healthcare facilities.  She called me with an odd request.  There was a lady in one of the facilities she promotes whose only daughter was getting married in another state and the mother was in too poor health to travel to the wedding.  So they organized a reception for her with a big screen and Skype so she could watch the wedding in real time.  My friend asked me if we would be willing to do a small wedding-looking cake for the reception as a donation, for publicity only.  Of course we agreed!

This is a white cake with 8" bottom tier and 6" top tier.  Buttercream icing, fondant roses and sugar pearls.

Another Toy Story Birthday!

Toy Story cakes were very popular in the fall!  This one is a 1/2 sheet white cake with buttercream and freehand fondant character.

Tie-Dye and Zebra

Tie-Dye with birthday girl's favorite colors, and zebra print fondant peace signs.

Close-up of color fade border.

Cammy's Toy Story Cake

This was for my daughter Cammy's 4th Birthday party.  Bottom is 8" square yellow cake, top is 6" round chocolate cake.  Buttercream icing and freehand fondant characters.
